Hi there, and welcome to my portfolio! I’m Kirsten, a UX/UI and visual designer with 6 years of experience, based in Orange County, California. I currently design innovative digital interfaces at the Fortune 500 company BSH Bosch Siemens Home Appliances – the #1 kitchen appliance manufacturer in Europe focusing on efficient, user-centric solutions that enhance everyday experiences for millions.
With a Master’s degree in Design Management and a B.A. in Media Design, I blend strategic thinking with strong visual and interaction design skills. My experience as a self-employed designer allowed me to lead diverse projects across industries from branding and marketing materials to impactful digital solutions, making me a versatile, business-driven designer who helps brands grow through thoughtful, effective design.
I studied 'time-based' media because I've always been fascinated by the future and how brands can remain innovative and relevant. My passion for UX/UI design stems from my belief that digital is the future, and user experience will always be crucial. What matters most is creating user-centric designs that resonate and engage.
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients across various sectors, developing unique visual messages. This includes creating logo designs, selecting color palettes, choosing the right typefaces, crafting key visuals, and much more, all tailored to the individual touch points of each brand.
Although design might appear superficial from the outside, it becomes increasingly complex with larger projects and organizations. Having studied Design Management, I know the right strategies and tools to manage design efficiently, transforming complexity into simplicity.
